TOWN OF WILLINGTON
MINUTES
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING
November 15, 2011
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
First Selectman, Christina Mailhos read the call of the meeting and asked
for nominations for a moderator. Bob Shabot made a motion to appoint Christina Mailhos as moderator and was seconded by Chris Demers.
Motion carried.
Item I
To see if the townspeople, on the recommendation of the Board of Finance, will authorize an additional appropriation of $50,000 from the General Fund Balance to Line Item 0503, Capital Projects for drainage improvements and repairs to Burma Road.
A motion was made by John Blessington and seconded by Chris Demers to approve
Item I.
Discussion followed.
Lynn reported that there would be four culverts moved including the gate.
There were concerns that the upper part of the mountain needed work with the volume of water that had been washed down. There are also concerns about the off road vehicles riding in this area.
Motion carried
A motion was made by Chris Demers and seconded by John Blessington to adjourn the meeting at 7:10 p.m. .
